Self Confidence
Self confidence is the most important key towards attracting success, one when confident in their own skin and what skills they master have a high chance of attracting success more than people who lack confidence do. Low self-esteem and low self-confidence are two of the most common reasons for struggles. These two issues are the root of many problems that manifest themselves beneath the surface and impact the quality of life, well-being, and personal and professional satisfaction, in addition to being the reason why many people fail to set and achieve their life goals. There are some typical phases observed in the last few years while working with people who decided to overcome their problems once and for all in the process of overcoming these issues and moving from self-doubt to self-confidence. Increasing your self-awareness, challenging your self-beliefs, clarifying your self-identity (what you believe to be true about yourself), and evaluating your own performanceCommunication
Communicating your thoughts easily and in a way where people get exactly what you are trying to convey while being self confident is a great step towards attracting success. People are more likely to open up to those they trust. If someone believes you’re trustworthy, they’ll be more likely to speak freely, which means the lines of communication will be open and clear. In the same vein as trust, honesty and truthfulness are essential for effective communication. Someone will be more receptive to what you say if they can trust you to tell the truth. It promotes genuine interactions and the maintenance of healthy, happy relationships.Managing Time
“Time is your most precious resource” writes Brian Tracy . “It is the most valuable thing you have. It is perishable, it is irreplaceable, and it cannot be saved”. Realizing that time management is everything can help to put things into perspective. You could, for example, spend the entire day watching Netflix. However, that time could have been better spent exercising, reading, learning a new skill, visiting an old friend, or networking. Managing time is another step toward success; if you prioritize your chores and manage your time accordingly, you’ll be one step closer to success. It is critical to understand which aspects of your life should come first and which should come last. Managing time also implies focusing more on the three items at the top of your priority list and ensuring that minor inconveniences in the last items do not cause you to lose time on something more important.Listening
Just as communicating, listening is also equally important. Listening won’t come looking for you. You’ll have to look for it. The solution? Self-study. A good listener can communicate well as he/she is careful about what the communicator is trying to convey clearly. Also listening is important because many people believe that because they are older, more qualified, and have more experience, they automatically know more than the other person. In reality, this is not always the case. Other people with diverse experiences and different points of view may be just as knowledgeable as you. Your job is to keep an open mind to other people’s input, consider it, and accept it if it is consistent with your reasoning. As Bruce Lee put it, before you can accept new input into your cup, you must empty it. Otherwise, it will overflow.Consistency
You might have heard of people usually saying that “Consistency is the key” well yeah it is. Being consistent in what you do is a great step towards success. For example to lose weight, I need to exercise on a regular basis, not just once in a while! This is true for almost any other goal or desired outcome. It is critical to do something on a consistent basis, rather than just when you are inspired or motivated to do so. You may have heard the famous Hare and Tortoise story, in which the hare could not win despite having a significant advantage over the tortoise. On the other hand, the tortoise, with his perseverance and consistency, persisted and gave his all. Imagine if the tortoise had stopped in the middle of the race instead of finishing! What factors do you believe helped the tortoise win the race?
The tortoise eventually won due to a lack of consistent effort.Punctuality
Being dedicated and punctual towards the job given helps you grow towards success. For example if you set up a timetable and follow it without fail and with punctuality you have a higher chance of achieving your goal. According to studies, people who are punctual tend to be Type A personalities who perceive time differently than Type B, or more laid-back, personalities. According to research, Type A people perceive a minute to last 58 seconds, whereas Type B people perceive it to last 77 seconds. That may not seem like much, but it represents a 30 percent difference. So, extrapolating, that equates to a seven-hour difference over the course of a day. That could explain why Type A personalities rarely waste time and always wish for more hours in the day. In terms of punctuality, this means that the value placed on time varies greatly from person to person. Yes, it’s just perception, as there’s no Einstein-like relativistic time warp being created, but that perception definitely shapes our attitudes about time.Honesty
I understand what you’re thinking. What role can honesty play in my success? When you’re honest, people respect you more, and that will get you far. I’ve always valued honesty as a core value, and I encourage the kids I work with to do the same. Honesty entails more than just telling the truth; it also entails being true to oneself. For example if you are given a lot of work by your boss and you are not able to process it but still try to drag it and put in effort keeping your health at stake, you should tell them that, despite your efforts to complete every task assigned to you, you feel overburdened. You can then suggest some other people who could assist you with these tasks, or perhaps there is a way to complete them all. You are not admitting that you are not good at your job by being honest with your boss. You’re admitting to being human. Try it. I’m confident that if you phrase everything correctly, you’ll get results.Empathy
Empathy is being aware of how others feel and understanding their needs. It is the ability to connect with others and feel compassion for them. This skill is essential in your personal life, but it should also be part of your professional life. Empathy improves your interactions with your employees because it leads to better communication. Better communication leads to better results. Empathy is a component of emotional intelligence, which is essential for effective leaders. Emotionally intelligent leaders are more self-aware and can manage relationships more fairly, leading them towards success.Attracting success is a piece of cake if you follow implement these basic steps in your life. Be empathetical, honest and punctual not just to attract success but also to live a good life, and you never know you’ll ultimately attract it. Just do what feels right!
